About

Dr Henriette Cornet and Prof William (Billy) Riggs have both been working for years in transportation and want help people get the most of how they move from place tp place — and to have fun doing it.

Professor Billy Riggs is trained as a urban planner and for years has investigated the impacts of how to get people to get out of their cars and explore biking, walking and transit. His work has also explored how automated vehicles and other future modes of transport might impact people; which was recently featured in Moving San Francisco on KQED and produced by Jim Yager Media. He wrote a book called “End of the Road: Reimagining the Street as the Heart of the City” where he discusses many of the issues that people face in transitioning to more sustainable and “fun” commutes.

Dr Henriette Cornet is an engineer, grew up in a small town in France, doesn’t own a car. In her PhD thesis, she investigated the environmental and social impacts of urban mobility innovations with the aim to make pubic transit more attractive and people get rid of their cars. She enjoys understanding the real struggles of people with their mobility and the time they spent stuck in cars.
